Amasha de Silva finished first in Heat 1 of the women’s 100m with a time of 11.77 seconds, qualifying for the final later today .

Sadun Diyalawaththa finished second in Heat 2 of 100m Heats with a time of 10.69 seconds, behind India’s Harsh Raut who won the race in 10.47 seconds. Both Sri Lankan sprinters have qualified for the 100m final later today.
