Tharika Fernando is the Sri Lankan record holder of the Shot put with distance of 15.36m which she performed in the 2016 National Sports Festival in Jaffna.

Won the bronze medal at 12th South Asian Games ,2016 in India

Represented Sri Lanka at the Mokpo International Throwing Meet in 2016

National Champion in 2013,214, 2015 and 2016
