SL Athlete Charith Kapukotuwa achieved his seasonal best in Colorado, USA with a performance of 16.78m in the Shot Put.
Kapukotuwa, who has lived in the USA for a while, produced this performance at the Mines Sunday Last Chance meet held last Sunday, which is also his third best performance outdoors.
However, in order to qualify for the Asian Championship Kapukotuwa will have to achieve 18m. Kapukotuwa holds the Sri Lanka record for the event at 17.03m achieved in 2014.
