Young Sprinter Amasha de Silva secured her second Silver in the competition as she finished second in the girls 200m finals at the Asian Junior Athletics championship. Competing in the lane nine Amasha was nowhere near a medal by the first 100m but her late surge helped her to win the second silver medal with another personal best of 24.47 seconds in the event.
Earlier the triple Gold medalist from Swarnamali GC Kandy who trains under Sanjeewa Weerakkody won the silver medal of the 100m with personal best of 11.71 seconds .
