Poland’s Wlodarczyk wins third world hammer gold

Poland’s Anita Wlodarczyk won her third world gold after leaving it late in the women’s hammer throw.

The 31-year-old Pole, double defending Olympic champion and four-time world record breaker, managed a best of 77.90 metres on her fifth attempt.

China’s Zheng Wang claimed silver with 75.94m and another Pole, Malwina Kopron, took bronze (74.76).
