Kim Collins runs 9.93 PB and masters WR
Ageless wonder Kim Collins ran a PB and St. Kitts and Nevis record of 9.93 (+1.9) at a meeting in Bottrop, Germany, to become the first 40-year-old to go sub-10 seconds for 100m.The 2003 world champion, who ran his previous PB of 9.96 in London aged 38, beat USA’s Joe Morris with a 10.15 PB and Britain’s Adam Gemili with a 10.19 season opener.Also at the meeting, Uruguay record-holder Emiliano Lasa won the long jump with 8.03m (+0.8), Katharina Bauer won the pole vault with 4.40m and Linda Stahl achieved an Olympic qualifier in the javelin with 63.10m.
