Silver at South Asian Championships: 21-Year-Old Ranindi Pehansa Leaps into the Spotlight
At just 21 years old, high jumper Ranindi Pehansa has earned a prestigious silver medal at the South Asian Athletics Championships held on 26 October 2025 at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi, with a remarkable jump of 1.74 meters.

This achievement marks a significant milestone in Ranindi’s athletic career, placing her among the region’s top performers in the discipline. Her journey began in the village of Bandaranayakapura, Mattegoda, and was nurtured through her education at Kottawa Dharmapala M.V. and Panipitiya Dharmapala M.V., under the guidance of coach Imalaka Raveera.
