|Biography

Gayanthika Abeyrathne is Champion Sri Lankan athlete who now excel at middles distance. She recently shattered the Sri Lanka record of 800m with sizzling 2 minutes 02.55 seconds performance and beat favorite Nimali Liyanarachchi who kept his number one position for long time in the event. She also won the National Cross country title in 2017 and went to represent Sri Lanka at the World Cross country championship in Uganda.
