Peterites set two new records

St. Peter’s College athletes excelled with two new meet records as Hirusha Hashen leap 7.09m in the long jump for under-16 boys while also clocking an impressive time in the 200m eyeing for three gold medals as he did in the under-15 events last year. He shattered the record of 6.83m set by Pramod Madubhash of Maris Stella College Negombo.

Rumesh Tharanga was the other Peterite to set a record throwing 55.34m in the discus throw for boys under-16 event .He erased the record of 47.90m set by Malan Paul of St.Sebestian College Kadana in 2004
