Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas upstaged Colombia’s Olympic champion Caterine Ibarguen to claim gold in the women’s triple jump at the IAAF World Championships in London on Monday.
Rojas, world indoor champion and silver medallist at the Rio Games behind Ibarguen, managed a best of 14.91 metres on her fifth effort.
Defending world champion Ibarguen was just 3cm short in silver, with Kazakhstan’s Olga Rypakova taking bronze (14.77).
