Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia has won a sensational gold in the Paris 2024 women’s 100m at the Stade de France on Saturday 3 August, crossing the line in 10.72 seconds ahead of the USA’s Sha’Carri Richardson (10.87) to give her country her first ever Olympic medal. The USA’s Melissa Jefferson took bronze in 10.92.
