COVID-19 continues to hunt International events in 2021

Three major international events which were to be held in the first quarter of 2021 were postponed earlier this week, indicating the demons of COVID-19 will hamper the international event calendar this year too.

This has also put into doubt several other International events scheduled for this year, especially in countries which are severely hit by the Pandemic, though the sports world is doing its best to adapt to the new normal by following strict medical guidelines.

Accordingly, Asian Beach Games (China), Asian Youth Athletics Championship (Kuwait) and Asian 20km Race Walking Championship (Japan) were postponed earlier this week. Also, the inaugural Asian Relay Championship in April, too, is doubtful with the present situation in Thailand.
